All information about our material at a glance
What is biocircular plastic?
For our tableware, we primarily use bio-circular plastic recycled from used cooking oils from industry and gastronomy. These oils are collected and converted into plastic through a special recycling process.
In this way, these natural raw materials are used a second time. This new material is extremely durable, melamine-free, and 100% recyclable. Another advantage is that no special cultivation areas are required.
Where and how are our products manufactured?
Thanks to our own production facilities, we produce quickly, resource-efficiently, and, most importantly, transparently. The entire value creation takes place in one location, so all processes are seamlessly traceable. Our "Guaranteed Sustainability" seal of approval confirms that we take ecological, economic, and social responsibility seriously. In addition, we are IFS certified – for the highest food standards. SEDEX and SMETA guarantee compliance with strict labor guidelines.
Is microplastic generated during production and use?
No. All plastic waste generated during production is collected by type and sent for professional recycling. Even all packaging materials in which the material is delivered are collected and recycled.
Microplastics are plastic particles smaller than 5 mm. These are formed when plastic weathers, breaks down, or is abraded by heavy use. Often, careless disposal in the environment also plays a role here.
When reusable dishes are used normally, it can be assumed that no particles are released. koziol also consistently avoids additives such as plasticizers or hardeners.
Environmental pollution by microplastics is indeed a problem that we also take very seriously and therefore handle our materials very carefully.
Why choose plastic dinnerware?
Plastic tableware is light, extremely practical, easy to use and, above all, unbreakable. This greatly simplifies transport, storage, serving, clearing and washing, and most importantly, the risk of injury is eliminated.
The decisive advantage is the low processing temperature during manufacturing
of max. 180°C.
For comparison: metal, glass or ceramics are processed at temperatures between 800°C and 1,500°C.
